Since
our Tahiti I trip is nearly sold out already we are now
offering a less expensive option with this trip. This trip
is $600 less plus the single supplement is another $400
less - together that's a $1,000 difference! So
what
is the difference in the two trips? The biggest difference
is the hotel change on Moorea. We will be at the Cooks Bay
Hotel and Resort which is another fantastic hotel that offers
suites and is right on Cook's Bay with awesome
views of Bali Hai. We have also switched hotels for our
last night in Tahiti. With Cooks Bay Hotel there are also
no mandatory dinners included as was the case with Tahiti
I and we've also opted to not include breakfast in Moorea.
We brought a group at Cooks Bay Hotel 25 years ago and now
with the renovations and suites I'm certain you'll be delighted
with the choice.
Why is
Tahiti one of my favorite places on the planet? It is so incredibly beautiful with the crystal clear waters of the protected lagoons,
the jagged peaks that the clouds rest on, then you’ve got
the people and culture! It all paints a picture
of perfection that you will fall in love with. I have
brought groups to Tahiti 14 times now. On our last 3 trips we actually snorkeled with humpback
whales and we will have that chance again!
This
trip will have it all - 11-nights of island hopping bliss.
We start off with 5-nights
on Moorea. This is a small island that is mostly unchanged over the last 50 years. It's quaint
pensions and cute restaurants, palm trees that dip over
the water and the dreamy, multi-hued water in the lagoons
that the reef protects.
There’s plenty of great sightseeing
and tours to do in Moorea including scuba diving
and their famous shark feeding,
snorkeling with sting rays, dolphins and whales, visiting
off-shore
motu’s (small islands), 4-wheel jeep safari, motor
scooter rentals where you can
ride around the whole island or just relaxing by the pool.
Once
again, this resort is walking distance to several great
restaurants that are not overly expensive. Restaurants will
even send vans to pick people up.
Although
there are no overwater bungalows at the Cooks Bay Hotel
and Resort everyone will get a ocean front suite. Early
signups will get better view rooms. See below for more on
this hotel.

Next
up is 5-nights on Bora
Bora. We will fly on prop planes soon after we land in Papeete.
Our stay here is at a great
hotel called Mai Tai
Hotel. We've brought several groups here as well and
it's just perfect. Most people will get oceanview rooms
(sign up early to guarantee) but you may also upgrade
at this hotel to beachfront or over-water bungalows (see
info below). It’s
the perfect location where we are able to walk to several
restaurants in the neighborhood rather than depend on the
resort. Yes, it's true that Bora Bora and Moorea CAN be
expensive, but done right, where you can walk to local restaurants,
it is no more expensive than home. We'll have more great
tours planned here including a 4-wheel drive tour, a wave
runner tour, snorkeling circle island tour where you can
pet sting rays, scuba diving and more.
Bora Bora is an island that is completely magical. Undoubtedly
the most celebrated island in the South Pacific - Bora Bora
is French Polynesia's leading lady. Her beauty is unrivaled
and her fame, unwavering. Bora Bora is one of the few places
on earth that everyone hopes to witness in their lifetime—and
once you see it, you are forever enamored. The inevitable
love
affair
with this island begins right before you touch down. The
view from the plane window is a moment you will not soon
forget. Have your camera in hand as you begin you
r
descent and prepare for the moment when iconic Mount Otemanu
comes into view. From that point on, each experience will
only continue to exceed even your highest expectations.
Once seen, Bora Bora is never forgotten. From the day you
arrive until the moment you part ways, you will be in awe
of how her soaring mountain peaks, turquoise lagoon and
luxuriant overwater bungalows somehow look even more spectacular
than the pictures.
Lastly,
we fly back to the main island of Tahiti called Papeete
where we'll spend the last night. This is another nice hotel
called Royal
Tahitien located on the water with a great view.
We'll offer an option for a nice, half-day tour of Tahiti
in the afternoon.
We’ll
be flying non-stop (just 8-1/2 hours) from LA to
Tahiti on Tuesday
night to spend a very full 11-days in paradise returning
the morning of July 19h. We get terrific group rates from
our hotels due to our frequent visits over many years so this really is a very good
price for this luxury vacation. $200 deposit will sign you
up.
